PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The campus Student Intervention Specialist, under the supervision of the campus principal, provides specialized instruction to identified struggling students receiving services through the response to the intervention process, monitoring student progress through quantitative and qualitative measures, and participating in Student Success Plan (SSP) meetings to provide recommendations regarding adjustments to student instructional plans. In addition to providing support for K-8 struggling students in a small group or individual setting, he/she will provide professional development and guidance for teachers to improve their knowledge of differentiating instructional strategies and monitoring/adjusting said practices to appropriately measure student progress in the classroom.
