Salary: $25,000 + commensurate with experience | 189-day work calendar for 24-25 school year.
Job Function:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, the Instructional Aide is responsible for providing appropriate learning experiences designed to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal. Under the supervision of a certified classroom teacher:
• Plans and prepares instructional activities, materials, learning centers, and assessments as needed.
• Provides whole group, small group, and/or one to one instruction in both inclusion and pullout settings.
• Conducts guided reading sessions, administer progress monitoring assessments and maintains related student data.
• Maintains student lists, tracking forms, and informational reports as required by Principal and/or instructional leadership team.
• Collaborates with the classroom teacher to set up and maintain a classroom environment conducive to maximizing learning.
• Manages student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct, the student handbook, and campus procedures.
• Works cooperatively with support teachers and aides (SpEd, ESL, TAG, RTI).
• Monitors students in various settings (classroom, drop off, pick up) as assigned by campus administration.
• Maintains a professional relationship with students, parents, faculty and staff.
• On-site regular attendance.
• Participates in staff development activities to improve job related skills.
• Provides effective classroom instruction and follows lesson plans in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Maintains appropriate confidentiality of student information.
• Participates in extracurricular activities, district/school committees, and other opportunities to develop a positive school community.
• Understands and complies with all district policies, procedures, and expectations, as articulated in the employee handbook or as communicated by administration.
• Performs any and all other duties as assigned by the Principal, Vice Principal, and Chief Academic Officer

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Educational Aide certification required
• *Must meet Highly Qualified status.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish preferred. |
